The 2016  – 2017 program dates & topics
(2016 – 2017 applications are open) 


Application deadline: Sunday 11 December (23:59)

  • After the deadline, applicants will be pre-selected for the selection event; all applicants will be informed by email on Friday 16 December.


Selection Event: Tuesday 20 December 2016 (19:00-21:30)

  • At this event the pre-selected applicants will have the opportunity to present themselves: short pitches and speedmeeting sessions with the selection committee. Detailed program will be shared in advance.
  • After the selection event, the final selection will be made. All candidates will be informed by email on Friday 23 December.
  • On Monday 9 January we will announce the participants of the 2016-2017 cohort in a press release.


Module 1: Thursday 19 January – Saturday 21 January 2017 (09:00 to 17:30) Location: Impact Hub Amsterdam FOCUS: Systematic review of your business model, strategy and plan

  • Getting to know your peers
  • Presenting yourself and your venture to peers & partners
  • Feasibility and validation with experts
  • Market analysis and growth projections
  • Setting milestones for the program


Module 2: Thursday 16 February – Saturday 18 February 2017 (09:00 to 17:30) Location: Impact Hub Amsterdam FOCUS: Financial model, due diligence and organisation design

  • Stakeholder and relations analysis
  • Team roles and expertise review
  • Organisational and effectivity experts
  • Financial and organisational assessment
  • First trial peer-ranking exercise


Module 3: Thursday 16 March – Saturday 18 March 2017 (09:00 to late; exact times tba) Location: Impact Hub Vienna (flight/accommodation included) FOCUS: Impact, Go to market and the art of scaling

  • Positioning, marketing and branding experts
  • Sales and acquisition training
  • Reviewing/selection first markets and channels
  • Building go-to-market strategy and plan
  • Presentation training
  • Second trial peer-ranking exercise


Module 4: Thursday 13 April – Saturday 15 April 2017 (09:00 to 17:30) Location: Impact Hub Amsterdam FOCUS: Business valuation, types of funding and investment proposition

  • Reviewing go-to-market and growth plans
  • Assessing milestones and required resources
  • Investor panel and investment experts
  • Building and testing your investment plan
  • Final (formal) peer-ranking exercise + Winner announcement


Final Demo Day: Friday 19 May 2017 (09:00 to 21:30) Location: Impact Hub Amsterdam + Restaurant

  • Day: Investor Forum where all participants present their case
  • Evening: Closing dinner with participants, team and core partners


Program Value & Fee

The program value is estimated at >EUR15.000 per participant. Participants only pay a fraction of this, but commit significant time investment, attending all workshop dates and ac peer-support. Next to the 12 workshop days, participants should reserve 12 days in their agendas to work on their business strategies and investment plans. All program dates are mandatory for each participating venture.

The participation fee is €995,- (ex vat). This fee is invoiced before the start of the program. The participation fee includes:

  • program materials
  • lunch and drinks during program and events
  • flight and accommodation Vienna for one person (for third module: 16-18 March)
  • membership at the Impact Hub Amsterdam
  • and all mentoring hours
  • online support tools
